All people receiving assistance from Wooster Hope Center must live within Wayne County, have a picture identification and fall within 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.
The Wooster Hope Center/Greater Wayne County Food Pantry offers:
- Weekly Food Distribution
- Wooster Emergency Food Pantry
- Hygiene Pantry
- Haircuts
Backpack of Food Program
The backpack of food program services to 11 elementary schools throughout Wayne County. Each student who participates receives a bag of nonperishable food every other Friday throughout the school year to take home for the weekend. We seek volunteers each summer who will make a commitment to pack the bags during the school year. If you are interested in volunteering, click here.
This program is a result of collaboration between the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, Wooster City Schools, Kohl’s department store, DayBreak Community Church, Wooster Church of the Nazarene, and MCA in Fredericksburg.
